Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026 · Operator: Daniel Hofmann, Dietmannsried, Germany (see Legal Notice)

The authoritative version of these terms is in German. The legally binding text is the German Nutzungsbedingungen. This English summary is provided for convenience; in case of any contradiction, the German version prevails.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using GRIDCARD you accept these terms. The contract is between you and Daniel Hofmann (Germany), referred to below as "the operator". If you do not accept, uninstall the app and stop using the site.

2. Anonymous account

GRIDCARD accounts are anonymous by design. No email, no password, no cross-device login — your session lives in your device's secure storage. Uninstalling the app or switching devices creates a new account; the previous account is cleaned up after 30 days of inactivity.

3. Subscription (GRIDCARD Pro)

GRIDCARD Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks the features described on the in-app paywall for the duration of an active billing period. A monthly and a yearly tier are offered. The current prices including VAT for your region are shown on the in-app paywall before purchase; the price displayed there is the contractually agreed price.

The subscription automatically renews for another period (monthly or yearly, respectively) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Renewal is charged on the renewal date via the payment method on file with Apple or Google.

Payment is handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) under their own terms. Subscription management and cancellation happen exclusively through your App Store or Google Play account settings; the app itself cannot cancel a subscription. Refund requests must be made to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory) — the operator cannot issue them directly. Entitlement activation runs through RevenueCat; tap "Restore Purchases" on the paywall if the unlock does not appear.

4. Right of withdrawal (digital content)

You waive your statutory right of withdrawal for digital content once the purchase is activated, because the Pro features are unlocked immediately after payment. This is required under § 356(5) BGB and is explicitly confirmed by completing the purchase.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to impersonate others; not to use unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or rights-infringing content in any GRIDCARD field (handle, display name, bio, team tag, feedback); not to automate, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what is permitted by law; and not to disrupt the service (DoS, mass handle-squatting, abuse of the feedback form). The operator may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content and the public driver card

You keep ownership of the content you enter. You grant the operator a worldwide, royalty-free, revocable licence to display it in the app and — if you enable public sharing — at gridcard.site/c/<handle>, solely to operate the service. The licence ends when you disable sharing or delete the account. Be aware that anything published on the public card can be technically cached, shared, or archived by third parties; full recall after publication is not guaranteed.

7. Linked racing platforms

If you link Low Fuel Motorsport or Le Mans Ultimate, you authorise the operator to fetch public stats for the username you provide and display them on your card. Unlink any time in the app's Settings screen.

8. Rights to GRIDCARD

The GRIDCARD name, logo, wordmark, design, and software belong to the operator. Linking is welcome; copying the card, paywall, or website design into a competing product is not. Trademarks of third parties (LMU, LFM, RevenueCat, Supabase, Apple, Google) belong to their respective owners.

9. Availability

Best-effort service — no uptime guarantee. Stats from linked platforms depend on those platforms and may be temporarily unavailable.

10. Liability

The operator has unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. For simple negligence the operator is only liable for breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal duties), capped at the foreseeable typical damage. Otherwise the operator's total liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the total subscription fees paid in that period. Mandatory product-liability law and other statutory liability that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Termination

You can stop using the service any time by uninstalling the app. The operator can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or that are legally required to be removed.

12. Changes

The operator may update these terms for the future. Material changes will be announced in-app and reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law and venue

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer resident in the EU, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Venue is Wiesbaden, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Apple-specific clauses (iOS)

This contract is between you and the operator, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no warranty obligations; a refund of the purchase price is the maximum remedy Apple offers. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

15. EU dispute resolution

European Commission online dispute-resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. The operator is not obliged or willing to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
