Replies usually within a few days. Please include the handle shown on the driver card. Accounts are anonymous, so without it there is no way to find the record.
GridCard uses anonymous sign-in by design. There is no email, password, Apple, or Google login. On first launch a random account is created on the device.
A recovery code is the way to carry an account across devices. Generate one under Settings → Account recovery while the old install still works, keep it somewhere safe, and redeem it on the new device with Restore from a recovery code on the first onboarding screen. Without a code there is no way back: every install creates a new anonymous account, and no identity was ever attached to the old one.
In the app: Settings → Delete all data. Everything (races, laps, notes, milestones, gear, linked accounts) is removed from the server within seconds. The app reopens with a fresh anonymous session.
Settings → Platform integrations → Low Fuel Motorsport → Link. Paste the LFM profile URL or the numeric profile ID. Ownership is then confirmed with Verify with Steam: sign in with the Steam account that LFM has linked to that profile. Only the numeric Steam ID that proves the match is stored.
LMU runs on Windows only, so the app pairs with a small Windows companion that watches the LMU results folder. In the app: Settings → Platform integrations → Le Mans Ultimate → Pair. The app shows a 6-digit pairing code. Install the companion from gridcard.site/companion, enter the code there, done. New races sync automatically.
LFM data is fetched on a schedule, not in real time. To force a fresh fetch, open Settings → Platform integrations → Low Fuel Motorsport → Sync races now.
Start Le Mans Ultimate once with the companion running and Steam signed in, then restart the app. Career totals and the Driver and Safety rating come from Race Control, LMU's own backend, which is only reachable while the game is open. The LMU card reads those values at startup, so an app that was already running keeps showing the old numbers until it is reopened. After that the totals match the in-game MY STATS screen.
The companion reads the results folder as soon as it is paired, so journal entries appear within seconds. Career totals wait for the first time LMU is opened, which is why the card can look wrong in between.
The journal covers local races only, since it is built from the result files on this PC. An account with 100 races in Race Control can show 10 journal entries when only ten result files are on disk. Career totals are read separately and stay complete.
The companion reads the result files LMU writes into
UserData\Log\Results, one file per session. A race stays
out of the journal when the file was never written (a crash, or a
session LMU ended without saving a result), when the session was
single-player, or when the local driver only spectated. Single-player
and spectator sessions are skipped on purpose, since the journal
covers multiplayer racing. After a driver name change in LMU the
companion needs one restart before new races are picked up again. The
per-file reasons are listed under Last scan in the companion
window.
A scan reads the results folder as it stands, so a past race gets a journal entry only if its result file is still on the PC. A cleared results folder, a game or Windows reinstall, or a move to a new PC leaves nothing to read, and those entries cannot be added back later. Files moved into a subfolder or renamed are skipped for the same reason, because the scan matches the file names LMU writes. Races driven under an earlier LMU driver name get no journal entry either. None of this changes the career totals: races, wins, podiums and top-five finishes come from Race Control, so races from an earlier driver name or another PC still count. One scan covers the 5000 most recent result files.
Install the companion on the new PC, open Settings → Platform integrations → Le Mans Ultimate → Pair in the app for a fresh 6-digit code, and enter it there. An account holds one companion at a time, so pairing the new PC ends the old PC's session: the old companion then reports Session revoked, pair again in its tray. Races already synced stay in the journal. Results that exist only on the old PC's disk do not move across, because each companion scans the results folder on its own machine.
No. Once paired, the companion stays paired indefinitely across PC reboots, Windows updates and in-place reinstalls. Only three things end a pairing: Remove companion in the app, Re-pair… from the companion's tray menu, and pairing a different PC to the same account.
Yes. Autostart is on after a fresh install, on both the installer and Microsoft Store versions. The companion opens hidden in the tray, so nothing pops up at sign-in. The toggle is Launch with Windows in the companion window, and switching it off is remembered across updates. If Windows itself blocked the entry, it has to be re-enabled under Windows Settings → Apps → Startup first.
Those two come from LMU's own backend over Steam, not from the result files, so they need the companion running, Le Mans Ultimate open, and Steam signed in. The companion never contacts Steam while the game is closed, because that would make LMU report itself as running and block its PLAY button. After a race the rating settles about a minute past the finish line, so the value lands slightly later than the race itself.
Settings → Platform integrations, open the linked platform, use Unlink. Cached stats are removed; re-linking is possible any time and fresh stats are pulled again.
The driver card, public share link, schedule, sim linking, per-sim stats, earned card frames, milestones, the gear setup on the public card, the race, milestone, weekly standing and reminder notifications, the leaderboard top 10 with the current standing, the championship standings of every LFM series in full, and part of the journal are free. Race start alerts are the one notification that needs PRO.
Open the paywall (any locked PRO feature, or Settings → Unlock journal, insights & more) and tap Restore purchases. The app asks the App Store / Play Store with the signed-in store account and re-applies the entitlement.
The device has to be signed into the same App Store / Play Store account the subscription was bought with. If PRO was purchased on Apple ID A and the device is now on Apple ID B, restore can't see it.
Cancellation is handled by the store, not by GridCard.
Only whoever receives the link. The card lives at
gridcard.site/c/<handle>. There is no directory,
search or feed for driver cards, and a handle is not discoverable unless
the URL is shared. The leaderboard is a separate surface: it lists
handles, but it does not open anyone's card.
Handle, display name, avatar, country, race number, experience level, preferred disciplines, followed sims, team tag and Discord username. Linked-platform stats appear once the public profile is enabled for that platform. Featured milestones and the earned card frame are shown as well. The gear setup appears when Show gear publicly is on in the gear editor, which is free and on by default.

Every driver using the app. Each sim has its own rating board, and a ranked entry shows the handle, the country and the sim stats behind the rating. Nothing else from the profile is on the board, and an entry does not open the driver card behind it. A sim has to be linked before a driver appears at all.
Appearing is on by default. The switch is Appear on the leaderboard in Settings. Turning it off removes the handle from the board and from the weekly standing push, and it can be turned back on later.
Open the entry, then More options → Report handle. The same sheet has Block driver, which hides that driver everywhere in the app.
No analytics, no tracking pixels, no ad SDKs, no crash reporting and no cookies on the website. Push notifications cover five cases: a race recorded by the Windows companion, a milestone in the number of races logged, the weekly leaderboard standing with the LFM championship position, a reminder after seven days without a logged race, and a race start alert before a race armed in the schedule. The weekly standing, the reminder and the race start alerts each have a switch under Settings → Notifications. The two race notifications have no separate switch and stop when the notification permission is withdrawn in the operating system. The Privacy Policy lists every processor.
